I Can Haz Fashun Spred?

After a nervous junky habit of $50 in magazine purchases a month (I stalked to the aisles of Borders, hands trembling when I spied the latest Dazed & Confused. From there, I was a goner), I finally buckled to financial pressure and got subscriptions to almost every good magazine that I read. The secret? Ebay. Get yer subscriptions cheapity cheap over there.

Of course, I have a subscription to Vogue because no good fashionista could ever turn her back completely on the Vogue empire - no matter how much that magazine has started sucking. I'm not the only one who has noticed the dumbed down articles and the flagrantly inappropriate photo spreads. The superhero spread in particular irritated me. I couldn't help but think that whoever designed it could not possibly have read any real comic books. Tant pis! The inimitable gossip gurus over at Gawker picked up on how bizarre this spread was. Instead of writing it off to Anna Wintour's decaying sense of fashion (like I did), they chose to go another, much more brilliant route by LOLCAT-ING all of the pics.

Look on the glory that is Gawker's take of Vogue's latest fashion disaster:
